Parallax, West 11th and Fairfield, Cleveland, Ohio

If you are strictly meat and potatoes this trendy, upscale restaurant may not be for you. The Sushi and Sashimi are the best in Cleveland and made fresh to order. However, it is not strictly a seafood and sushi place. Short ribs, lamb chops, pork tenderloin and filet round out the menu. The service was great and reasonably priced with generous portions. Reservations suggested.

Santi - 21047 Geyserville Avenue, Geyserville, California

Some of grandma’s recipes are found on the menu that are mouthwatering enough to attract diners from all over including Emeril. The spaghettini is unequaled and the ravioli will melt in your mouth. The wine list is extensive and in the summer and fall you can enjoy the vine-covered patio. Sunday night Jazz. Casual dress. Reservations suggested.

The owner who will be more than happy to tell you what wine you will be drinking with your entrée will possibly greet you at the door. Authentic homemade Italian food. Rose petals dusted the tables in this small delicious restaurant.

Peju - Rutherford, California

Peju Winery has a Tower Tasting Room that you must see. There are beautiful 40’ sycamores on the property. Make sure to ask to be placed at Alan’s tasting bar. He is known as “The Yodelmeister” and will make your tasting lots of fun. Peju also has beautiful artwork to enjoy and purchase if you like.

Pedroncelli - Dry Creek Valley, Sonoma California

They have some of the nicest folks working in the tasting room and very affordable, good wines. We like the Chardonnay the best. Grab lunch along the way and a bottle of wine from the Tasting Room and enjoy outside in their intimate picnic area. After lunch play a game of bocce with family or friends on their court.

V. Sattui, St. Helena, California

This winery has a great store where you can purchase meats, cheeses, bread, salads, and gifts. Don’t go to V. Sattui looking for your bottle of Silver Oak Cabernet but do grab of bottle of Gamay Rouge, a baguette, and their out of this world triple cream brie and a picnic table. They offer complimentary tastings and much more.

Pat O'Brien's - New Orleans, LA

My last visit to New Orleans left me without the opportunity to visit this well-known stop. I had heard so much about their world famous drink, the Hurricane, that I made sure this time I had the chance to check it out. This drink comes in a huge souvenir glass adorned with an orange slice and a cherry. I would recommend making sure that you have something to eat and one drink is probably more than enough as they are pretty potent. I also ordered up the hamburger and fries. The burger was large, the fries were hot. Definitely a treat!

Little Moirs Food Shack

The best seafood in South Florida. The menu changes daily but always features fresh fish with several different crusts. Dont miss the coconut rice and mango salad. Great food with shacky decor. Come early for lunch and or dinner or be prepared to wait. Wait if you must. its worth it. They are known for their panko oysters. Closed on Sundays.

Cindys Seafood & Country Market

Once again, we found this restaurant driving to Seabrook and Kiawah,SC. Cindys seafood is locally owned and family operated. You can get certified organic produce here as well as a great lunch or dinner. We were here at lunch time and we had the crab cake sandwich and homemade gumbo. Both were fresh and delicious. The crab cake was full of crab and very little filler. The gumbo was loaded with sausage, okra and the right amount of spice. You order at the counter, sit inside or out on the porch and they bring your meal to you.
