At Lighten the Load, we respect and are committed to protecting your privacy. We use the information we collect about you to provide a more personalized and informative experience. What are Cookies and how are they used?

If you select the Remember Me option when you login to www.lightentheload.net, a cookie is used to save your password so you don't have to re-enter it each time you visit our site.

Lighten the Load does not sell, trade, or rent your personally identifiable information to others. Lighten the Load will not otherwise release individual account information unless we are required to by law, or we believe, in good faith, that such action is necessary in order to conform to the edicts of the law or comply with a legal process served on our Web sites.

Lighten the Load provides all of our users the opportunity to modify any information provided previously, as well as to opt-out of receiving communications from us. A user may: Visit our homepage and update their personal profile through the Member area of the site.

Log Files
Lighten the Load uses Web server logging to aid in the normal operation and maintenance of our web sites. Some examples of the information collected in these logs are: browser type, IP address, operating system, session length, referring site and general traffic patterns. We use this information to analyze trends, administer the site and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use.
Changes to this policy
