At Lighten The Load we care so much about helping you achieve your desired results that we utilize exercise physiologist's for our TeleFit411 programs and personal trainers for our onsite programs.
Why? Well, even though it costs us more as a company, we stand behind our mission to help individuals get healthy by utilizing the most accurate, results proven information provided by educated fitness professionals.
When it comes to getting active and starting a fitness program we've seen many individuals start with inaccurate information or a “no pain, no gain" mentality. The individual stays active for a month or two and then fizzle out – or worse - they hurt themselves by doing too much - too soon. By having an experienced and certified personal trainer or exercise physiologist in your corner you’ll be assured of getting a personally designed, safe, and effective exercise protocol. By receiving the correct information, guidance and support from the start you receive everything you need to guide you as you move toward your desired results.
Whether you are working with a personal trainer at Aerofit Health & Fitness center or one of our exercise physiologist's you can be sure that they are educated, experienced and understand the challenges that often accompany making healthy lifestyle changes. We carefully choose physiologist's who we know can support our participants as well as abide by our company values and mission.
What is Exercise Physiology? Exercise Physiology is the identification of physiological mechanisms underlying physical activity, the comprehensive delivery of treatment services concerned with the analysis, improvement, and maintenance of health and fitness, rehabilitation of heart disease and other chronic diseases and/or disabilities, and the professional guidance and counsel of athletes and others interested in athletics, sports training, and human adaptability to acute and chronic exercise.
What are appropriate education and credentials for an exercise professional?
- Bachelor’s (B.S.) degree in Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology, or Health Fitness
- Master’s (M.S.) degree in Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology, or Clinical Exercise Physiology
- Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD) in Exercise Physiology or related area (such as Biodynamics)

Our eight(8) or ten(10) week program's are offered throughout the fall, winter and spring months.- Eight (8) or Ten (10) weekly, 60-minute group telephone sessions conducted by a Lighten Up lifestyle coach

- One (1) 30 minute private phone sessions with your Lighten The Load exercise physiologist (TeleFit-411 only)
- Personal exercise program designed for participant(depending on time line of class)
- Access to our Lighten The Load virtual classroom for downloaded weekly written class modules, videos, connecting with your accountability partner and other participants
- Access to our Lighten The Load website which offers accurate and current wellness articles as well as the ability to "Ask Our Experts"
